THE * District .Court.—Yesterday the trial of Quong Yep, charged with the murder of a Chinaman in a gambling house at San Juan, was commenced in the District Court. The detestimony coming to light, he was granted a new trial, Yesterday morning a venire of thirty jurors was exhausted without obtaining twelve qualified to try the case, and a special venire was issued for ten moré, District Attorney Caldwell and J. E, Eastman, of Marysville,. conduct the prosecution, and Hawley and Williams appear fot the defense. The trial will probably be concluded to-day. Fring Prerurrs.—George R.
