RRS NT eS HONEST ORR TEASERS TN Suara Pablished Daily, eg Excepted, —BY— BROWN & CALKINS. WEDNESDAY, SEPT. 24, 1884. . Bruty Enetisn of Indiana, who contributed one dollar to the” Chicago fire sufferers, and afterwards ran for Vice President:on the Democrat. ie ticket, has been given a long rest. He has, however, committed another extravagance by subscribing one dollar and a half to the Cleveland campaign fund, and. as a matter; of course his name is again before the public, although the report is not credited in financial circles, St, Jouy is firmly impressed with the belief that hé will poll not less than 1,000,000 votes. While it is not likely that such self-assurance could be disturbed by any degree of failure, it will make no difference if we suggest that were the ciphers placed on the other side, he might express hia belief with a dead vrs mid of imbuing others with his impressional qualities, and a greater certainty of all the votes indicated, : ns ——-> Tue inveutor of an electric apparatus for deaf people, claims that no ear is so deaf that it cannot be madd to hear, and that, in many cases the apparatus fwill eure deafoess. The Coroner’s jury returned a verdict of ‘‘killed by a thunderbolt from heaven.” Tux National Association of Veterans, which the Germans have organized after the plan of the Grand Army of the Republic, may come, in time, to outnumber the latter organization. It is presumably formed chiefly for social purposes. & A fire in Cleveland, 0., Sunday— believed to have been of incendiary origin—caused a loss of between $250,000 and $275,000. THE Pope has granted $200,000 for the establishment of a hospital near the Vatican. J Tur $5,000 recently stolen from the express company at Daggett, has been recovered. Tue grand Trank car works; at London, Ont., have been destroyed by fire. Asystem of mounted police has been organized in the Yellowstone region, EnGLanp is said to be suffering from a ‘‘fit of panic.” KING : . Absolutely Pure. This powder never varies, A marvel of purity, strength and wholesomeness, More economical than the ordinary kinds, and cannotbe sold in competition with the multitude of low test, short weight, alum or phoshate powders. The amount saved over the Frue being sufficient to pay the entire cost of the machines nearly every month of the year. The following is an‘enumeration of its many advantages over all other similar machines: 1, Its cost is not more than half that of any other of equal capacity, and the weight is nearly 1,000 peunds less, thus greatly reduciag the cost of transportation. 2. The expense of setting up in running order is not more than one-third that of the Frue, or any other belt machine, much less grading and timber work being necessary. 8. The expenditure for repair is not more thar one-fifth that of any other belt machine ; and they will last fully three times as long, working under the same conditions. 4. Not more than one-half the space is required—a point of great importance where a considerable number are used, 6. No special skill and very little caro is necessary to operate it. 6. Nomore water is required than is furnished by the teries. 7. It savesall the amalgam, ‘rold ur silver, that escapes the batteries, ITS INVALUABLE FEATURE, and claimed by more than it costs tor this purpose alone, 8. Amuch coarser gees of ore can be handled successfully than by any other machine yr “— nee nmany instances where fine crushing is not necessary to eliminate @ mineral. 9. It has no small and delicate mechanism, requiring nice adjustment and the closest attention —an insuperable objection to all belt and other forms of machines, making them wholly unfit for the rough service of a quartz mill. 10, Great simplicity of construction and small number of wearing parts. The whole machine is comprised in seventeen pieces, only three of which are su bject to any especial wear, and these can be replaced ata nominal cost. The Frue has 1138 Pieces, aud some similar machines many more, making a complication of parts that involves constant repair and great expenses in this way, as well as in loss of time. We areaware that the most sweeping and pretentious claims are made for nearly every concentretor in the market, but it isa well-known fact that the results of their operation have not in any instance made good these claims, The advantages here set forth for the apt “ well as the statements made, we are prepared to substantiate by actual workng results. ) pans or settlers, no other, making the machine worth Price $350.
