Tur Chicago Press states that
Emory A. Storrs died penniless,
eaving his wife without a dollar,
not even enough to pay his funer‘al expenses. The recipient of the
largest fees paid to any Chicago
lawyer, he did not leave his wife
enough to pay for a night’s lodging or to buy a day’s bread. This
isa state of things which will
very likely be remedied, as it is
anticipated that the people to
whom Mr. Storrs so liberally gave
his time and abilities as an orator
and spokesman will not permit
Mrs. Storrs to suffer.
