The past day or two he recognized no one. That here and elsewhere. At Truckee there are six or eight persons siek with it. ae an Hon. Wm. Watt favored this office » witha call yesterday. He: did not ome asa politician, nor did he try to convert us to his religious faith. It was only a friendly call, that was all, The Manzanita mine continues.to send out the richest kind: of gravel, and the indications are that the same kind of ground extends indefinitely. Walzath, which are in the second story of the house on Piety Hill, owned by Mr. Hunter, "were entered on Saturday night last, while all the family were absent, and '° @ trunk and other articles were taken therefrom, In the trunk were busi~~ ness papers, besides perhaps a hun‘dred or more dollars worth of specimens, and other things of value. The room was reached by a ladder which was placed against the house. On Sunday ‘the trunk was found ‘beside the fence, inthe yard of a neighbor, where the robber had left it. Who performed the eperation is yet unknowrm. It would be well for owners of houses in town to be on the look out, and when another covey appears at a. window to give him a dose of buck shot slap in the face. 'V Flame Lumber Yard.
