Bot = PRIDAY MORNING, SEPT. dem, — STATE a , STIDICIAL ee FoF Tustices of the Supreme Court. © . a ‘ 0, L. SHAFTER, « §. W. SANDERSON, L. SAWYER, JOHN CURREY, “~~ eaten: Hor District Judge, ‘B. McFARLAND. Wor County Judge, A. C. NILES. —— Vierory '—The men of the State have met the cohorte ot Secession and routed them gloriously. The victory is » Allies of Jeff have been overthrown and dis” Bereed. A few guerrilla bands may spring up “in chosen localities of the State, ‘but they too will meet the fate of enemies of the Government in another canvass. Hence» forth there need be no fear for Califurnia. For four years she is the hands of loyal wen, aud-will-in-her-forward march keep step to the music of the Union, She is to-day ono of the most loyal of States. The fact will thrill with joy the Union men of the East. Their hearts will swell with pride when they know that the Pagific coast is true as ateel to the Government. We may be proud of it too, We may congratulate ourselves that peace ls to continue in our favored land, and ~no-confliet between State and nativiial authority willcome to weaken the nation and inake it the prey of enemies. Downey muy now retire to his deve shop in Los Angeles,. cheat the greasers and kill them with drugs, and continue the tool ofdesigning men with more brains than himself, igliar may find consolation in wool-gathering among his llamas, Whitesides still con~ tinue to be thedaughing stock he has been, and Weller may await the loathesome dunT. —/ xeon be deserves till the “simple slab” rea cords his contemptibility. “Every dog has. his duy" as the fate of these defunct Coppers heads proves to a certainty. THE Evecrion.—It is a clean sweep all over the State. At the nomentof this writing Allison’s Ranch is the only place heard from that hax given the Copperheads a majority in the whole State of California. There may be other spots where an equal amount of ignorance may be disclosed, after the returns are in. We wait to hear from such, San Francisco, Stocktoa, Maryaville, Sac_Tamento, Forest city, and in-fact every pluce of note, is sound for the Union, But Neva~ da ta the banner town of the State. See the figures, fellow Nevaitne, and ~ proud of your town. Nors x Time. —The night sie the vlection was a nvisy night. Half the town would neither sleep nor allow the other half tu sleep. A very large crowd went to Grass , Valley and were met by a correspondingly large crowd of Grass Vallleyana with torches and music and eacérted into town, The Union beys of that town, after a most hilarivus time, dtummed up all the carriages in the burg to see the Nevada boys cowfortably aad safely home. €PPThe news from all over the State leavea no room to doubt that the Unior tick~—-et-has-won~ bya majority-of trom 20,000 to 40,000.
