ARREST OF SvupposED Escares.—On
Jast Tuesday night Marshal Snow of Grass
Talley arrested two men in that place, who
are supposed to be escaped convicts from
San Quentin. They gave their names as
Thompson and Williams and could net
render a ¥ery satisfactory account of themselves.. One was afterwards recognized as
George Taylor. Information was sent to
Sheriff Gentry of the arrest, and Under
Sheyit? Potter went to Grass Valley on
Wednesday, and brought the parties to

larceny. Heis of fair complexion, gray
eyes and light hair, and about 5 feet 5
