The said action is brought to obtain a decree of this Court for the foreclosure . ofa certain mortgage described in the said complaint and executed by the said defendants J. W. Brown, P. Williams, A. J. Williams and Joseph Wood, on the 28th day of January, a. p.1869, to secure the payment of six promissory notes set forth in said complaint, made and delivered to D. A. Rich, bearing even dates with caid mortgage and thereby intended to be secured, to-wit :—The sum of $1,50000 with interest thereon from the 28th day. of ard 1868, at the rate of 144 per cent per month tilt paid, principal and interest payable in the gold coin of the United States. Plaintiffalso prays judgment for ten per cent upon the amount found due, as counsel fees herein, that the premises conveyed by said mortgage may he sold, and the proceeds applied to the payment of the amonnt due upon said promissory note principal, interest, counsel fees and cogts of snit. And ip case such proceeds are not sufficient to pay the same, then to obtain an execution against said defeudants for the balance remaining due, and also thatthe said defendants and all persons claiming by, through or under them may be barred and foreclosed of all right, title, claim, tien, equity of redemption, and interest in and to said mort got premises, and for other and further relief.— And you arehéreby notified that if you fail to appear and answer the said complaint,as above required, the said plaintiff will apply to the Court for the relief demanded in the said eomlaint. pi ae In testimony whereof, I, G.
