of the balance wheel, which bolt is held to position by a
strong spiral spring. When a bobbin is to be wound the
bolt is julled out enough to release the balance wheel,
and turned slightly to the right or left where it is held by
a stop-pin tili the bobbin is filled: When the machine is
liable to be meddled with by children, the bolt can be left
out of the wheel when not in use, so that the miachine
cannot be operated by the treadle.
