strong spiral spring. When a bobbin is to be wound the
bolt bens out enough to release the balance wheel,
and tumed slightly to the right or left where it is held by
a stop-pin-tili the bobbin is filled. When the machine is
liable to be meddled with by children, the bolt can be left
out of the wheel when not in use, so that the machine
cannot be operated by the treadle.
