6i03 = _ of the Causes of Hard Times.” The drain eetyeporpemmcangns \ Silefte 3 x & THE DAILY TRANSCRIPT. . . nee BROWN & CALKINS, Proprietors. SATURDAY EV’NG. DEC. 10, '92. MT 1S AN UNOONTROVERTIBLE FACT <a 0 ' That “One of the Causes of Hard Times’ Is the Coin Paid to Foreign Companies. We desire to call the especial attention of our readers to the notice on the first page of today’s Transcript, headed ‘‘One that is made upon.the people of this coast is shown in plain figures, and is simply appalling. Just think of it, that during the year 1891 the net loss to the people of California, for the benefit of the insur. ance kings of the Eastern States, was $2,034,145.00. ‘Et has made themi richer and the people here poorer. » All of this money might have been saved to our own people if they had pat¥fotiized hoine ins‘ead of foreign iniiranéé’ companies. The Home Benefit Life Associatiun of San Francisco, for instance, is one of the most reliable, best conducted and as solid as any company in the world, gives insurance at about one-half of that charged by the old-line companies. Thea why should not this eompany receive the largest per centage of the business on the coast instead of its going to Eastern companies ? Look into it, all ye who are interested. Life imeurance is a grand thing, but net such agood thing when you have to pay two prices for it to Eastern companies. By insuring in the Home Benefit Lifé Association of California you get it at actual cost, and are just as well protected as if you paid double rates to the Eastern insurance kings, : : PERSONAL MENTION, Sovial-aod lier Notes About People Old po and Young D.
