Last Sunday ‘Whistling Dick” had
another close call for his life. Dick is
about the luckiest man that ever struck
Truckee. He has been shot at eight or
nine times, and is not badly hurt yet.
He got into’a dispute with a saloonkeeper Sunday, and wasv érdered to
