Organ’ & Cook of this city have completed the bridge across Deer Creek at the Anthony House, which they built under contract with the county. It has a length ef 120 feet, the span being 110 feet.. It rests on iron cylinders filled with concrete. The total cost, including the approaches, isabout $2,300. This bridge connects Penn Valley and Pleasant Valley, twoof the richest and most populous farming districts of the county. It also affords direct communication, between the San Juan Ridge and Wheatland by way of the Indign Springs road. A bridge _w but the freshet of January, 1862, carried it away.
