The annual report of the State Beard of Horticulture, for 1890, has been issued from the State Printing Office in a volume of over 500 pages, with numerous illustrations, some great deal of valuable information for fruit growers, and willbe permianently useful for reference. It looks reasonable that hydraulic mining should not be prohibited in districts where the debris could do no damage to agricultural pursuits, and thie can be accomplished in the Sierras.
