It was an impoitant case, inasmuch as I sued out fixe writs of habeas corpus and the litigation l pending. Patrick Campbell was my client and he became ia contempt of the Superior Court of Yuba county by violating a hydraulic mining injunction. *Campbell was president of the Golden Gate Hydraulic Miniug Company, which has been enjoined by Judge Keyser of Marysville, since deceased. ‘In order to keep the mine running the officers of the company all resigned and took to the woods to avoid the sertion fp “Finally <the . ofiicers caught Campbell while on his way te Smartsville. ln is still vice of mjun a pers.
