Mr. Hamilton, who is the legiclutive reporter of tue Ouxkland Tribune, writes thus te that paper: ‘‘The slickens dnd anti-slickens men are watching each other very closely. The latter say they have discovered a large ‘buy’ in one of the bills introduced by the former. The anti-slickens men say this bill, if passed, will work in this wise: A miner of Placer county is charged by a Sacramentan with hydraulic mining. When arrested and brought to Sacramento for trial, he files an affi lavit from two Phicer county citizens, charging bias. The Sacramento judge will be forced to grant a change of venue. He transfers the case to Yolo county. Another affidavit ir filed. Boyes and Richardson were summoned to a house on U street, where its occupant, Lulu Ray, was in the throes of death from having swallowed a phial of laudanum. One Man Killed and Another Score butts » Hart, Maybert early yesterday meruing Sigward Hanson was killed and Harry Wvolburn was badly hurt by a prematurely discharged blast.
