McMurray, the ‘chairman, in reply fo inquiries, said the attendance would be large, probably six or seven hundred miningmen, The corresponding. secretary had received word that nearly every county in the State, except Colusa, Sutter, Glenn and San Joaquin, would be represented, There was, however, some doubt about delegations coming from Tehama, Yolo, Solano, Marin, Mendocino, Santa. Barbara, Merezd and Humboldt. It was, however, certain that forty-two counties wdull be represented, Mr, Yale, chairman of the Committee on Resolutions, touched upon the importance of having them framed in direct and concise language. He thought the tendency toward long, tedious. and meaningless preambles ought to be avoided.
