Full Text of the Ordinance Adopted by the Supervisors. ORDINANCE NO. 20. County of Nevada do 6rdain as follows: SECTION I. Every person, firm, company or corporaconducting, transacting or carrying on any in the same, procure a license therefor, as provided forin this ordinance. Separate licenses must be obtained for each branch establishment, or separate house of business located in “said county. Three calendar months shall constitute a quarter. SECTION II. Auctioneers are divided into three classes, and must obtain licenses from the Tax Collector as follows:—Those whose average monthly sales amountto ten thousand do)lars or more constitute the first class, and. must pay a license tax of sixty dollars per quarter. 2—Those whose monthly sales amount to twenty-five hundred dollars and lesstthau ten thousand dollars constitute second class, and must pay a license tax of whose average monthly sales are less than twenty-five hundred dollars constitute; the third class,and must paya license tax of sever dollars and fifty cents per quarter. SECTION TII. Persons engaged in banking, loaning money at interest, or in buying and sellin; notes, bonds or other evidences of indebtedness of private persons, or in buying or selling state, county orcity stocks or other evidences of state, county or city indebtedness, or stocks, notes or bonds orother evidences of indebtedness of incorporated companies; or in buying. or selling gold dust, gold or silver bullion, gold or silver coin, are divided into three classes, and must pay license tax as follows : 1.’ Those doing business in the aggregate to the amount of thirty thousand dollars or more per quarter constitute the first class, and must pay a license tax of fifteen dollars per quarter. 2. Those doing business in any amount under thirty thousand dollars and over ten thousand dollars per quarter constitute the second class and must pay a license tax of seven dollars per quarter. 3. Those doing business in any amount less than ten thousand dollars per quarter constitute the third class, and must pay a license tax of three dollars per quarter. SECTION IV. The provisions of this section do not aply to exhibitions or entertainments given or the benefit of churches, schools or other charitable entertainments, by any amateur dramatic association or literary society of the town or district in which such exhibition or entertainment is given. SECTION V Every person whosells spirityous, malt or fermented liquors or wine in less quantities than one quart, must obtain a license from the Tax Collector and must pay therefora license tax of fifteen dollars per quarter. 2. Every person who sells malt or fermented liquors or wine in less quantities than one quart, and who does not sell spirituons liquors, must pay therefor a license tax of mine dollars per quarter. SECTION VI. Every person who at a fixed place of business sells any goods, wares or merchandise, wines, or distilled liquors, drugs or medicines, jewelry or wares made of precious metals, whether on commission or otherwise (except agricultural or vinicultural productions, or the productions of any stock, dairy or poultry farm of this State when sold by the producers thereof, and except such as are sold by auctioneers at public sale under license); and all thoge persons who kéep horses or carriages for hire.
