About the Cost of Teas.
According to the custom-house reports, the
enormous profits, and there you will probably
find the chief reason why most of you never
heard of a sun-dried tea. As the sun-dried teas
have no mask, they sre compelled to be absolately pure and of better quality than the
artificially colored and manipulated teas.
Henep the margins on them are emailer, and
many Gealers don’t care about handling them,
and you know nothing about them. But it is
the object of this article to tell you where you
can get them, and what to ask for, and all
about them.
“ “ Beech’s Tea.”*
“ Beoch’s Tea,” guaranteed to be the pure
sun-cured leaves, is now offered to the people
of the Pacific Coast. It will be a revelation
to you. You doubtless never saw any nat

between the artificially colored green and
the bine teas, and the drawn tea presents a
clear, brilliant canary color, ef delightful
fragrance. I8 is offered to the people at 600
per pound, the same price that many artificially colored teas are sold for. But its guar 4

use; for a less quantity, say about twenty
be between three and four hundred cups to

manifest, It is put up in one-pound packages
only, in patent airtight and moisture-proof
parchment, with the trade-mark that is found
et the bottom of this article plainly printed
on the package. It is sold in this form for
two reasons; one is, that the original strength
and aroma is preserved; and second, there
can be no deception, which would be quite
possible if it were sold in bulk, without the

Recollect that the margin ef profit is so

This machine, is made after the /atets models rtom
Singer Machines, and is a perfect fac-simile m make, of
namentation and appearance. All the parts are made tc
gauge exactly the same as the Singer, and are constructed
of precisely the same materials.
The Chicago Singer Machine have every importan improvement ina Joose balance wheel so constructed as to
premit winding bobbins without removing the work from
the machine.
The loose balance wheel is actuated by a solid bolt passing through a collar securely pinned to the shaft outside
of the, balance wheel, which bolt is held to position by a
strong spiral spring. When a bobbin is to be wound the
bolt_is julled out enough to release the balance wheel,
and turr 2d slightly to the right or left where it is held by
a stop-pi : till the bobbin is filled. When the machine is
liable to be meddled with by children, the bolt can be left
out of the wheel when not in use, so that the machine
cannot be operated by the treadle.
The driving w .1eel on this macliine is admitted to be the simplest, easier
running and most convenient ofany. The machine is self-threading, hae the
very best tension and thread liberator, is made oft e best maerial, with the
wearing parts hardened, and is finished in a superior styelt._1t has ve
neered cover, drop-leaf table; end drawers and cenwing drawer.
