premit winding bobbins without removing the work from

The loose balance wheel is actuated by a solid bolt passing through a collar securely pinned to the shaft-outside
of the balance wheel, which bolt is held to position by @
strong spiral spring. When a bobbin is to be wound the
bolt is julled out enough to release the balance wheel,
and turned slightly to the right or left where it is held by
a stop-pin tili the bobbin is filled. When the machine is
liable to be ‘meddled with by children, the boit can be left
out of the wheel when not in use;~so that the machine
cannot be operated by the treadle.
