WHAT
It Will Give New Life to California Just .
as Soon as It Becomes Law.
In speaking of the mining vill which .
has just passed the House, with an ap-.
propriation of $15,000, the S. F. Post
says: It really makes but. little differ
It Wi DO

miners wanta chance to resume opera
tions, and this the bill will.give them if
it becomes alaw. They will be able to
step out from under the shadow of the
decisions of the fedcral courts and take
up ati industry which is just as legitimate
as farming or manufacturing if carried on
under proper rules and regulations. The
Senate should certainly make an effort to
pass this bill at once, since it is of such
vital interest and importance to California. The ink on the bill would not be
dry before every part of this great State
would feel its influence. Trade: would
revive, new markets would be opened,
manufacturers would hold up their heads
and values of all kinds would increase.
A special effort should Le made at once
> induce the Senate to move in the matter. ‘Ihiscity should take it up and
urge the Senate in every way possible to
act, for the final passage of the bill would
be like the discovery of anew El Dorad«.

J. V. 8. is the only Sarsaparilla that old
or feeble people should take, as the mineral
potash wLich is in every other Sarsaparilla
that we know of, is under certain conditions
known to bo emaciating. J. V. 8. on the
contrary is purely vegetable and stimulates
digestion and creates new blood, the very
thing forold; delicate or hroken down people,
it builds them up and prolongs their lives.
A case in point:
Mrs. Belden an estimable and elderly lady
of 510 Mason 8t., 8. F. was for months decliningsorapidly astoscriously alarm her family.
It gut so bad that she was finally afilicted
with fainting spells. She writes: “While in
that dangerous condition I saw some of the
testimonials coucerning J. V.8, and sent for
a bottle. That marked the turning point.
L regained my lost ficsh and strength and
