if re th AER A an THE DAILY TRANSCRIPT. BsRowz & CALKINS, Proprietors. . THURSDAY EV’NG JULY 22, —————— WHAT It Will Give New Life to California Just . as Soon as It Becomes Law. In speaking of the mining vill which . has just passed the House, with an ap-. propriation of $15,000, the S. F. Post says: It really makes but. little differ It Wi DO ence at the present tinmeWhat the amount . . of the appropriation ~is.—?'le—h ydraulic miners wanta chance to resume opera tions, and this the bill will.give them if it becomes alaw. They will be able to step out from under the shadow of the decisions of the fedcral courts and take up ati industry which is just as legitimate as farming or manufacturing if carried on under proper rules and regulations. The Senate should certainly make an effort to pass this bill at once, since it is of such vital interest and importance to California. The ink on the bill would not be dry before every part of this great State would feel its influence. Trade: would revive, new markets would be opened, manufacturers would hold up their heads and values of all kinds would increase. A special effort should Le made at once > induce the Senate to move in the matter. ‘Ihiscity should take it up and urge the Senate in every way possible to act, for the final passage of the bill would be like the discovery of anew El Dorad«. —y Hires’ Rovt Beer.
