i SEVENTH ANNUAL FAIR: OF THE—— ———-, ee Ree Cee E Mrs. Willard’s Memorials. DAILY TRANSCRIPT. The memory of Mrs. Emma Willard, —_ the principal of the famous school for girls in Troy, N. Y., is to be honored by two beautiful monuménts. One is a marble statue of Mrs.. Willard; the other is the Gurley Memorial hall, erected by two brothers to the memory of their only sister, who was one of Mrs. Willard’s most devoted pupils. Both memorials will be in Troy, and there’ is talk of a third to which all the educated women of America are to be asked to contribute. In connection with this a reunion of Mrs. Willard’s pupils is suggested in Chicago during the Columbian exposition. This memorial will probably take the form of an endowed scholarship.—Harper’s Bazar. : Apropos of a Present Fashion. & ‘well Known Hew York paysiciss of bang Fg a cole meee gowns . usually abrupt aid violent, they really of that variety would anywhere, and . cleaned in the open air immediately on . tend to weaken the organs. Ask ‘those’ who have tried it, and they will tell that Hostetter’s Stomach Bitters is a matchless laxative, effectual without violence—thoroughly alterative, but perfectly reliable. Itinvigorates too no less than it regulates the system, and it is chiefly to this first quality that it owes the permanency of its regulating effects. If vigor is lacking in the region of the bowels, the stomach or the liver, healthfulactivity in these organs is suspended. Deobstruents.and cathartics in general are simply that and nothing more ; they relax the bowels merely without invigorating them, and as their laxative action is 24. In just 24 hours J.
