M. L. & D. Marsh have just received
150,000 number one sugar pine shakes,
also two carloads of the finest redwood
shingles ever brought ‘to this market.

Matthew Reed, a young man from
Iowa Hill, Placer county, is under arrest
at Truckee for beating & Bwede named
C. Granberg over the head with a coupling pin: Granberg was found near the
freight depot at 2 o'clock Monday morning with the side of his skull crushed in.
Soon after suspicion was aturacted to Reed,
