Union: The Sporteman’s Club har
received information that persons
have been shooting deves during the
past week. Of course such shooting
is unlawful, ae the open season does
not commence until July lst. lt is
alse a gross injustice to sportsmen
who respect the law, im order that the
game ‘may have the protection intended. ‘The game. laws have been
pass d for a beneficial purpose. As
much respect is ue them as any othe!
laws that are passed fur public benefit
or protection. Aninfraction of these
laws subjects the person 60 doing to
punisnment by fine and. imprisonment, andit is 3 foolish-risk for any
one to take. The Sporteman’s Ciub
is pledged to uphold thé law, and it
~tivends to'd0-so-as far as it can. The
advice is therefore given to all persons :
to bé careful, and not attempt to*shoot
