It is no small degree of satisfaction to that class of our fellow citizens wh. have stuck by Nevada City during all its dark days, in the firm belief that the mines in the district would bring great prosperity at some time, that they have lived to see -that—day;—and that the croakers who through all the days of adversity were bewailing the collapse of the town, are now with the faith-believing citizens. Those public-spirited citizens are also pleased at the thought that’ next. week, on the occasion of the visit of the hun-+}dreds of Knights of Pythias, representing almost every town in California, that we will be bereft-of thu—oroaker’s voice in giving the town and county a black eye.
