SINGER SEWING MACK INES
This machine, is made after the /atets models rtom
Singer Machines, and is a perfect fac-simile in make, ot
namentation and appearance. All the parts are made to
gauge exactly the same as the Singer, and are constructed
of precisely the same materials, :
The Chicago Singer Machine have every importan improvement ina loose balance wheel so’ constructed as to
premit winding bobbins without removing the work from
the machine. : : J
The loose balance wheel is actuated by a solid bolt passing through a collar securely pinned to the shaft outside
of the balance wheel, which bolt is held to position by a
strong spiral spring. When a bobbin is to be wound the
bolt is julled out enough to release the bulance wheel,
and tufr 2d slightly to the right or left where it is held by
a stop-pt ; tilt the bobbin is filled. “When the machine is
liable to be meddled with by children, the bolt can be left
jout of the wheel when not in use, so that the machine
cannot be operated by the treadle,
‘The driving w .1eel on this machine is admitted to
running and most convenientofany. The Gaotins is beh poame, meee
very tension and thread liberator, is maile oft t maerial, with the
wearing parts hardened, and is finished. i Bde tyr styelt, 1t has ve
