Marcellus, ex-Postmaster of Oakland, at 1814 Everett street, Alameda, this afternoon, and found Mrs. Marcellus completely prostrated at the tragic death of her father. She first learned of his fate from the morning papers. Mr. Marcellus hastened to San Francisco and positively identified the remains at the Morgue. Mrs. Marcellus could give no information throwing any light upon the tragedy. It was learned at the house that Kent had not been there since last August, when his wife died, and had since been at NevadaCity. All the friends of the family are inclined to the belief that his death was from suicide.
