The loose balance wheel is actuated by a solid bolt passing through a coliar securely pinned to the shaft outside
of the balance wheel, which bolt is held to position by a
strong spiral spring. When a bobbin is to be wound the
bolt is julled out enough to release the bulance wheel,
and turt sdislightly to the right or left where it is held by
@ stop-pi ; till the bobbin is filled. When the machine is
liable to be meddled with by children, the bolt can be left
out ‘of the wheel when not in use, so that the machine
