36—Old No. 15—and to Provide
for Macadamizing Certain
Streets and Constructing Certain Gutters in
Nevada City.

ordain as follows :
Section 1. It is hereby established and
declared necessary for the public convenlence and welfare, that certam portions ot
streets hereinafter designated (and which
have been heretofore planked) shall be macadamized,and certam gutters herein specitied, shall be constructed and maintained.
Section 2. The streets and parts thereof, herein referred to, are described as fol3:
« Broad street, from the point where it is
intersected by York street, to the point
. where it is inversected by thie alley ease ot
the National Exchange Hotel.
Pine street from the north line of Spring
street tothe north line of Commerciai
street. :
Commercial Street from the point where
it intersects Pine street to the point where
it intersects Main street.
Main street, from the point where it
intersects Commercial street ‘to the Lroi
Bridge which crosses Deer Creek.
Sec. 3. The said described portions of
said streets shall be Constructed and Ma
satisfaction of the Street Committee.
The said Macadam shall be 15 inches
deep in the center of the street, and 10
uches deep on the sides, with a uniform
slope or grade from centerto sides.
Sec. 4. Grutters shall be made and constructed on both sides of each street,
or section of street, whenever the same
shall be macadaimized.
The gutters shall be made of rock o1
cement, at the option of the owner of the
adjacent lot. ‘
‘The said gutters shall be made -in accordance with the directions and to the
satistaction of the Street Conymittee oi
the Board of City Trustees.

Section 1, Be it ordered by : the Board
of Trustees of the City of Nevada, State
of California, that the Western Union Telégraph Company, its saccesgors, and assigns, are authorized to erect. and© maintain on the streets, alleysand public ways
of said City the poles’ and fixtures and
wires necessary for the purpose of supplying the citizens of said City and the public, communication by telegraph, or other
