J. D. Dunphey, of Camptonville, won the bear which took such a conspicuous part in the late Native Sons’ celebration in raffle, and has generously dinated bruin te Hydraulic Parlor, at Nevada City, with the injunction to pass him around for similar future disalpys. The bear has not arrived, but the collars of some of the members of that Parlor have wilted since they heard of the present. They are ina terrible sweat to know what te do with the monster. We recommend that they send the brute down te the Midwinter Fair. 0 0 Looking Aronnd. Hon. W. D. Tisdale left here by private conveyance Sunday for a trip up the Ridge. He went to San Juan and from there he will go to Celumbia Hill, North Bloomfield and other places up that way. He intends to remain around here for two or three weeks, this being the only vacation he has had in a namber of years. Before he leaves here he will undoubtedly become the owner of a goed quartz mine, oe It Should Be in Every House. J. B.
