Mr. Halvarson died May 6 at
his Grass Valley home; he was

since 1963, he was a teacher and
“counselor at Nevada Union
High School for 25 years. He
was also an avid fisherman andhunter.
Mr. Halvarson is survived by
his wife Jane of Grass Valley; a
son, J. Page Halvarson of
FallRiver Mills, Calif.; a
daughter, Laurie Halvarson of
Grass Valley; a stepson, Paul
Shelton of Springfield, Ore.: a
stepdaughter, Kathi Shelton of
Stockton; a sister, Hally Hunter
of ‘Chino; a brother, Carl
