Burial will follow in the Rough & Ready Cemetery. Mrs. Hickman, who lived in Rough & Ready, died Tuesday at a Grass Valley medical facility. She was born July 17, 1920, inDurango, Colo., to Clifford and Leta (Martin) Leming. She was raised and attended school in . Bayfield, Colo. and after high school graduation attended “beauty college in Denver. She returned to Bayfield and operated a beauty shop in her father’s barbershop. On Aug. 10, 1940, she married Homer Hickman in Aztec, N.M. After their marriage, the couple moved to Redondo Beach where they lived until settling in Rough & Ready in 1976. Mrs. Hickman was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star in Redondo Beach.
