Edwin Powell
A memorial service for Ed. win T. Powell will be conducted
at 2 p.m. Saturday in Nevada
City First Baptist Church.
Mr. Powell died Saturday at
his Nevada City residence. He

A native of Nevada City, he
was born April 14, 1904, to Edwin and Eliza (George) Powell.
He attended area schools and
after graduation from Nevada.
City High School he worked for
his father in the Nevada City
~ Bottling Works.
He later worked as a surveyor for the U.S. Geological
Survey and married in 1938. In
1939 and 1940 he served with th
U.S. Navy. . .
Mr. Powell retired in 1968
after 20 years as maintenancetechnician at McClelland Air
Force Base. ;
He was a member of. Frank .
Gallino Post, American Legion .
Preceded in death by his wife,
Elsie, Mr. Siegfried is survived
by a niece, Frances Christoffersen of Moraga. :
