A queer phenomenon is connected
‘with the workings of the Martin White
ore. The ore is very pace and it is
necessary to roast the whole of it.
During the roasting process no deliterious or disagreeable fumes are observable, yet the hair and the beards of all
the men engaged about the works are
soon dyed a bright and permanent
green. Even the eyebrows of the
workmen are green as grass. Inscores
of Nevada mines ores of various kinds
are smelted and roasted,. but at none
of them is either the hair or beards of
the workmen changed from their natural hue. Itis said there is less arsenic in the ore of the Martin White
than in that of many other mines.
Old smelters say arsenic has no such
effect on the hair and all declare that
the emerald hue imparted to the hair
is due to the presence of some unknown metal or mineral. White,
light and sandy beards and hair take
a grass-green, whereas black or dark
brown hair is dyed a deep bottle-green.
The hair is not injured by this change
of color. It retains its original softness and strength.

A Revolution in Provress.
«A@f,yhe many great discoveries that
ave mifdd each era in human pross, increasing man’s knowledge and
control of natural forces, making him
a master instead of a sluve and adding
to the comfort and happiness of the
human race, the discoveries of Dr.
J: Engene Jordan, author of the Histogenetic System of Medicine, must,
from the nature of things, rank among
the foremost.
The thousands of cases which have
already been cured by this system,
embracing the diseases heretofore regarded as incurable, place the greatness of his discoveries beyond question, and build for him a monument
in the hearts of the ple. .
In his book entitled, ‘‘The Entire
Revolution of Medicine,” is given a
comprehensive description of this new .
system, and i:s practical application,
which briefly stated is as follows: He
rebuilds the diseased cells and tissues
of the body with the same proximate
principles and ferments, organic bod-ies, and so on, which are nominally
prepared in the body by the glands.
Those he supplies to the sick in tke
form of medicine, giving that particular principle, which he sees from their
symptoms their glands are unable to
prepzre.
It is a beautiful science, and built
upon scientific principles, as is abundantly proven by the following en;
dorsements from men whose prominence in the scientific world mukes
them competent critics, und speaks
volumes for this new and rational system of medicine:
Cuica@o, January Ist, 1888.
This is to certify that I have made
togentic medicines, prepared by Dr.
J. Eugene Jordan, and of his unique
methods of research, and an therefor
competent to form a correct judgment.
I pronounce them marvelous products
of the highest skill, showing an acquaintance with the natural sciences
far in advance of any savant with
whose works the world is acquainted.
The amount of time and painstaking
which the Doctor has expended upon
the singl: branch of spectroscope is
enormous, and his discoveries startling; also having used these medicines
in my own practice, I can say that
their actual success in curing disease
is as great as their discovery.
The revolution of the medical science
of today is no dream; it is at hand.
