Plumbing has almost doubled in
size since first opening in
Nevada County. Going from
8800 square feet to almost
14,000 has allowed the Ryans to
increase their warehouse and
add a beautiful new showroom.
The showroom, designed to give
the public and the contractors
decorating ideas, has thus far
been a great success.
Although the showroom is
designed as a retail selling
space, most of the Ryan’s customers are plumbers and contractors. Their business is not
necessarily designed for the doit-yourself person. “The upper
end plumbing fixtures we sell
usually are purchased for new
homes or people who are remodeling their homes with the
help of a contractor. Although

Chuck Ryan has been in the
plumbing supply business for 32
years. After vacationing in
Nevada County, the Ryans decided to move to Grass Valley in
the early 1980’s and open Super
Plumbing. The Super Plumbing
Co. is a limited partnership with
nine locations throughout
Norther California. Most of the
locations are in areas similar to
Grass Valley, where
there has either
been a large period
of growth or there is
an anticipated large
period of growth.
The Ryan’s main
reason for wanting
to expand their
business was that
they had outgrown
the facility they had
on Joerschke Drive.
