Spectacular entertainment program featuring the Flying Jays, aerial gymnasts; Smith’s diving ponies; the Don Ricardo troupe of Spanish strolling musicians, singers and dancers; the Candreva Brothers, official trumpeters; Jiggs, the motion picture monkey and the Dixie Four, quartette formerly with Ted Lewis. 2:00 p.m.—Demonstrations, motion pictures and entertainment in Educational Building. 4:00 p.m.—Arrival at Sacramento of State Fair annual cruiser race from Bay Region. 5:00 p.m.—Special outdoor operation demonstrations on proving grounds south of Machinery Building. 5:15 p.m.—Evening retreat and flag lowering ceremonies in front of Agricultural Building by California National Guard. 6:00 p.m.—Band concert by University of California band in front of Agricultural Building. 7:00 p.m.—Concert in front of grandstand by Golden State Fair Exposition Band, Philip Sapiro, director. 7:20 p.m.—State Fair Fireworks. The last word in modernized-dramatized fireworks will be displayed before the grandstand. 8:00 p.m.—The Golden State Fair entertainment program. One of the most lavish and spectacular musical extravaganzas ever presented on the Pacific Coast. Lottie Mayer’s disappearing water ballet, consisting of a group of Neptune’s most beautiful t y daughters, who parade to the edge of a jewel-studded tank, enter the water, completely ak disappear, and reemerge in gorgeous costumes. This ballet will be supported by selected Hollywood talent among which is found the Four Albee Sisters, musical quartette of motion picture fame; Marion Daniels, motion picture and night club dancer noted for her acrobatic routine and Precision dance; Armand Chirot, dramatic soprano, grand opera and motion picture star known as the “Mexican Nightingale”; the Six Candreva Brothers, official trumpeters; Don Ricardo and his strolling Mexican musicians; the Dixie Four, quartette formerly with Ted Lewis; the Flying Jays, aerial gymnasts, and Smith’s diving ponies, Bob Oakley, master of ceremonics. 8:15 p.m.—The California State Fair classic Horse Show in arena, of the horse world. Tevis Paine, master of ceremonies, A colorful display of the aristocrats Foley & Burke’s great combined carnival shows on the Midway. Dancing on the open-air platform near the main entrance. All exhibit buildings open until 10:00 p-m. 11:00 p.m.—Ted Lewis’ “Goodnight” from the tower of the Agricultural Building nightly.
