This rere lith. Hograph was drawn from nature and on stone by Kuchel — (} and Dresel, printed by Brittan and Rey and published by j/J. E. Hanlin, bookseller of Nevada, located upstairs over the W. G. Alban drug store. It was from this hill, a little to the left that John and Abigail Williams stood on the site of their long-planned home to view the destroyed city on July 19, 1856, Nevada was quickly rebuilt after the fire, as the lower photo shows, again looking up Broad street and Main street.
