As great water pressures sent mountains tumbling down _
The monitored water with a steady course am
Washed away the earth with a gigantic force
Each stream became full of the miners debris
The tailings were washing right out to sea
The fine Narrow Gauge would supply their needs
As they ardently searched, Mother-Nature’s “Blue Lead”
This vast channel of gravel with its twists and its coils
Bore like a snake, beneath nature’s rare spoils
As the hydraulic-giants were silenced,
the quartz load ran strong
Prosperity kept ringing like a Gay-Cornish-Song
As each vein ran dry, another would appear
And the zealous miners worked year after year
