That the said party of the first part, for and in
consideration of the sum of Five Dollars, gold coin of
the United States of America, to him in hand paid by
the said party of the second part, the receipt whereof
is hereby acknowledged, does by these presents grant,
bargain, sell and convey unto the said party of the
second part, and to his heirs and assigns forever, all
the following described lands situated in Nevada County,
state of California, and particularly deseribed as
~ollows, viz:
Commencing at a stake about 100 feet West of thelorth Bast corner of the West half of the South West
jularter of the North East quarter of Section Four (4)
fownship Sixteen 16 North, Range Hight East, at a
bo.int indicated by a stake that stands on the North
ime of said subdivision of lands where the fence of
sajid Nevis crosses said line; thence running along the
masterly line of said fence South 150 feet more or
esis to a stake that stands near a bridge that crosses
‘gilors Ravine and from thence South 1270 feet more or
efs to the South line of said Subdivision of land;
