KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS:
That I do hereby declare that I am married and the
head of a family; that my wife's name is Maggie Rose,
and that I do now at the time of making this declaration actually reside on the premises hereinafter des-—
cribed.
That my family consists of a wife.
That the premises on which I reside are bounded
and described as follows, to-wit:
Lying and being in Nevada Township, County of Nevada
State of California, bounded and particularly des-—
cribed as follows:
1. Being that certain ranch known as the Nevis
Homestead, in the West part of Nevada Township, County
and State aforesaid, and known and designated on the
United States Government Surveys as the West one half
(4) of the South West one quarter (4+) of the North
East one quarter (+) and the South East one quarter
(+) of the North West one quarter (+) of Section Four
(4) in Township Sixteen (16) North, of Range Bight (8)
-East, M. D. B. & M., also all water rights, ditches and
flumes, lying on or being appurtenant to said ranch
