moved to Santa Cruz and ran the hotel for a year. A position opened up on the Grass Valley Police Department so I tested and came back in 1966 and stayed until retirement in 1987, five years as Chief of Police. I attended the F.B.I. National Academy in 1975. Further details of those years would take numerous pages so I will move on. In 1986 I started a home business, processing 38 cal pistol brass which we still do. Since 1986 I have worked gun shows selling ammunition and reloading supplies. 1996 I became a Docent at the empire mine, involved in Cottage Living History, Interpretation, Board Member as Vice President and Program Chairman, mine-yard living history coordinator and playing the role of George Starr, a man that I admire the more I read about him.
