STRAY LEAVES
“MY SCHOOL”
My school! To us this is not “the school I go to,”" but “my school,"’ a place
which belongs to all of us. It is this feeling of possession, this intense school
spirit, which the graduating seniors will remember long after they have forgotten room numbers and report card grades.
Our school is a place of school work and dreaming, of bull sessions with
a favorite teacher, of frantic studying in the library and student council room
before school, of clock hands that jump and careful doodles on textbook covers.
Here we have met many teachers and have made many plans. This then, is
G.V.H.S., a place full of high spirit and friendliness, a place which we will always
refer to as “my school.”
It is the hope of the “Stray Leaves” staff that by recalling that spirit this
annual will mean more than just a book full of pictures and a little writing. It
is meant to be a record of Grass Valley High School, your school, a record of
clubs, assemblies, parties, dances, achievements and classes.
