two touchdowns. The score was 12 to 5 at the end of the first half. —
; In the second half our team apparently went to sleep, allowing Auburn to make six touchdowns in ten minutes. In the last of
this half our team played better ball, and pressed our opponeuts back
to their ten-yard line. We were in possession of the ball in this part
of the field when the whistle blew.

On Saturday afternoon, October 16, Sacramento High defeated us at Glenbrook Park with ascore of 16-0. Sacramento's team
Was in good condition, while we were minus our fullback Simmons.
We were disappointed in the resu!t of this game, the loss of which
brought again to our minds the awiul defeat received at Sacramento's
hands only a year before. Every man was determined to get even with
Sacramento, but alas! their weight and superior playing was a little too
much for us.
In the first half Sacramento made two touchdowns, while in
the second they made one. Johnson and Rogers played a good game
for Nevada, while Putman was the star in Sacramento's line-up.

With the close of the footbeJ! season, basketball was taken up in
N.C. H. S. The first call for practice found a dozen athletes out, ready
for the “mill.” With the efficient lelp of our assistant principal, Mr.
Sim, a team was threshed out that 1¢mained undefeated throughout the
entire season. The interclass sericg was won by the Juniors, with the
I'reshies a close second, showing tlat there are some “comers” in the
lower classes.

On Thursday afternoon, Jartary 6, our team played the unorganized Alumni team at Armory Hall. The Alumni put up a good
game, but our well trained team was a little too much for them. This
was the first game played and it dd the team a lot of good, giving
them confidence necessary for a stecessful team.
