THE QUILL
The Quill
School has just begun,
We forget vacation’s fun,
Soon our first report arrives
Bringing either joy or sighs;
But quickly comes November’s chill,
And work begins upon ‘*The Quill.’’
Poems are there and stories,
The Senior’s pictures and their glories;
There are jokes which may be slips,
From Freshies’ or even Juniors’ lips;
3ut we take them all with right good will;
For who in school would not work for ‘‘The Quill.”’
3ut on Commencement Night,
When everything is gay and bright,
A. sinall hoy comes to you quite near,
And whispers gently in vour ear;
His words at once give you a thrill,
And you say, ‘‘Sure, I want ‘The Quill.’ ’
Everybody will buy one,
To enjoy its seriousness and fun,
Fach class has made it a success,
And 1912 will beat the rest;
Things are forgotten, but with you still,
Are the clever thoughts produced in ‘‘The Quill.”’
