23 THE QUILL China. TAMBLYN, HARRY--—Enlisted April 1917; sent to Applegate; to Fort Mason; to Camp Kearney; transferred to Co. B. 115th Engineers and sent to France. Promoted to Sergeant. TAMBLYN, STAURT-—Enlisted at Sacramento December 1917 in the Aviation Corps; sent to San Fracnisco, to Waco, Texas, to Camp Huston and then to France. Discharged May 1918. TAYLOR, GEORGE—Enlisted January 23, 1918 as Sedond Class Yeoman from Berkeley; assigned to duty at the office of the Coast Inspector for the U. S. Navy at the Union Iron Works, San Francisco. Promoted to First Class Yeoman then to Chief Yeoman. THOMAS, WILLIAM—Drafted at Salinas August 1, 1918 in the Infantry; sent to Camp Fremont and to Officers Training Camp, Hancock, Georgia. Promoted to Second Lieutenant. Discharged December, 10, 1918. TONELLA, OMER—Enlisted in the U. S. Marine Corps July 12, 1918; sent to Mare Island, to Quantico, Virginia, to Washington, D. C., to New York and sailed for France October 16; stationed at Brest, Toul and Geiveres for seven months on guard duty. TORPIE, ADRIAN—Enlisted from San Francisco in the Heavy Artillery in October 1918. Trained at Fort Rosecrans, San Diego, California and at Fort Worth, Texas. Was promoted to Sergeant. Was disdharged from San Diego, January 22, 1919. TORPIE, WILLIAM—Enlisted from San Francisco, California, November 3, 1917 in the U. S. Air Service. Received training at Kelly Fleld, Texas, Rockwell Field, San Diego and Garden City, New York. Was stationed for a time in England and Ireland. Discharged from Camp Kearney on April 17, 1919. ; TREADWELL, DONALD—Eniisted September 1917 at Berkeley; assigned to Headquarters Co. of 91st Division; transferred to Ambulance Section of the 316th Sanitary Train, Sent to Camp Lewis, Merritt, Upton and to the Presidio. Went overseas 1n June; arrived in England June 20 and in France June 21st, 1918. Stationed at St. Michiel, Meuse-Argonne, Lyawer, Belgium, Scheldt, Belgium. Promoted to Sergeant Maor, Discharged May 12, 1919. VEALE, CHARLES—No information obtainable. WAITE CLARKE—Entered the U. S. Air Service in September 1917 from Bisbee, Arizona. Sent to Camp Funston, Kansas, and to Camp Merritt, New Jersey. Went overseas in February 1918. Promoted to Sergeant and is an instructor in an aviation school in France. WHITE, ROBERT---Enlisted February 20, 1918 in the Engineers; stationed at Camp Fremont; sent overseas, Appointed Company Bugler.
