THE QULL 17 Kate Shearer brought Nevada City into prominence by winning the first place in fancy diving in the Olympic games which are being held at the Champion Reservoir. Helen Ries kas a quick lunch counter at Gold Flat to supply the weary tourist as they return from a trip to Mount Banner. Lloyd Dudley is the inventor of a new kind of automobile known as the “Dudley Special’. It costs twenty-nine dollars and ninety-nine cents and has never been equaled as yet by any of Henry Ford’s ‘‘Flivers’’, .The factory is at North Bloomfield. ' The rest of my classmates have wondered far from their native haunts. Nathelle ‘‘Tete’’ Breese has astonished the world by becoming a missionary on the Island of Yap. She has converted millions.. Arnold holds a prominent position in a deaf and dumb asylum. One of his many duties is ringing the dumb bells to call the inmates to dinner. There is ‘‘Pill’’ delivering soap box speeches to the native sons and daughters ef China fcr the Anti-Chewing Gum Society. Her noble work has brought forth excellent results. Muller is travelling round the world and incidently acting as salesman for a four-foot yardstick which he has recently patented. Ruby is in Hawaii teaching love to the natives. She has a large and brilliant class, Rey Kitts is a hermit in the Andes mountains. It is true that he is writing a book on “Why Elephants don’t Fly’. j Elgin made his fortune leng ago on a rattle snake farm in the Sahara Desert. Rattlesnakes are fast taking the place of watch dogs in that district, Ruth Murchie is down in the South Sea Islands. She is a biologist and the world of science has gained much through her work. Ruth made the astonishing dliscovery that grasshoppers have cheek bones. As this last scene vanishes the cloud upon which I sit begins to decend slowly. As it nears the earth the speed increases. Smash! Bang! Ouch! I sit up and look about me. Well I.found myself right in N. C. H. S. study hall at my my own desk, For several. moments I was unable to absorb the fact that it was only a dream. But still I couldn’t help wondering if it might not come true. JOANNA BRYANT.
