Transportation Museum Division of NCHS produced a map showing racetrack (basically encompassing both freeway on/off ramps with Brunswick bisecting it and the Union building within the souther loop. 1884-1933; and Olympia Park 1902-1958. the Narrow Gauge is to the ne a considerable distance. a) One mile racetrack, 40’ wide, guardrail fences, first grandstand 1884. Night horseracing under electric lights first run in CA here 1887; b) Two story, 250’ grandsand, judges tower across track, stables rear as in 1924 c) OP and LO, dining bar, porch, boat dock, footbridge to 60’ X 100’, dance pavion spring floor 1924. Rebuilt 1950. d) bath house 100’ long adjacent to beach with diving boards, and diving trapeze tower e) swimming pool f) Dam Rental cabins, etc, tables on flat above lake after 1924.
