PROMPTED by an honest desire of my heart, 1 wish to lay before the public a ease which deserves a light commendation, not only as an act of scientitie skiil, but that of humanity, also. About twoy ago, [suddenly and from causes unknown te me, was seized with a fit of Epilepsy, which owing to my inabilit to meet the expenses consequent apon athorough medical treatment, and the disccuragement which I met with on attempting it, soon bebome such (as I was then led to believe,) as to defy the skillefa physician. I was frequently, while in pursuit o my calling, thrown down to the ground without the slightest warning, and although insensible to the agonies, [ yet despised the miseries of my Ife, and seon learned to look npen those who would render me assistance or sh from danger as ene: mies who sought te prolong th ¥ of my existence. While in this State, and “having previous to my afflictions tasted the sweets of life, I once more was induced to attempt seeking aid of a physici and, by recommendation, called on Dr. L. J. Czap told him my circumstances, and my inability to reward him for his services—regardless of which, hgwever, he at ofce undertock my ease, and with the blessing of God, I was once more restored to perfect health. Unable to reward him for the boon which I enjoy at present, and yet conscious of my indebtedness, I consider it due t and to ail affficted, to make the case public, in o those in need of medievl advice may find a phy whom every coufidence can be placed. {L. so MEYER YABLONSKY.
