The Trustees of th@fown of Nevada do ordain as follows: All owners, occupants and lessees of any Store, Ware House, Dwiling, or other building im which Stoves or Grates are kept shull extend the pipe, or cause the same to be done, at least twenty four inches from the outward side of the building or roof, and the same distance sbove the eaves; and where said pipe passes through any board or canyass partition, siding or roof, it shall be through some meial or flre proof plate leaving a space of four inches between the pipe and the partition, siding or roof through which it passes, and all persons who shall be found guilty of a violation of this Ordinance, on an ex amination before a Justice of the Peace shall be fined in the sum of Twenty Five Dollars and costs, and in default of payment, execution shall issue for the same Adopted February 16, 1754.
