All others have been already accommodated with the document. We will endeavor to furnish the . President’s message to our subscribers at the earliest moment. } We have received a2 interesting article on the Wagon Road across the mountains, but tco late for insertion this webP. Detected. —We gave an fiem last week of the finding of a large boul. der of gold and quartz at Remington Hill, weighing Sidoz. It was found . in the claims of Jere Green & Co and presented the appearance of half negg. The other half was expeeted to be found. On Monday last an old man who had worked im the claims a long time and who found the nugget, declared his intention to go down into the valleys to live, and packing up his blankets, Bhorldered them and } started up the hill in this direction. . One of whose suspicions had been excited . followed up the hill and overtaking . him, accused him of having the othe? . half of the celebrated lump. The old . man confesetd that he had, drew it from his blankets and gaveitup. In consideration of the age of the old man he was suffered to go unpunished and his name is suppressed. The lump was on exhibition at the hank. ing house of CU. W. Mulford & Co., . on Tuesday, and weighs 175 ounces. the owners of the claim, Homographic Chart.—We are indebted to Ifons. S.
