Asa Medical man it is the duty or every physician to look at disease as it affeets health and life. and his sole object should be to mitigate, as fur as lies in his power, the bodily suffering. Iinman nature at best ia but frail, all ure liable to misfortune. Of all the ills that affect man none are more tersib}e. than those of a private nature. Dreadful as ‘it is in the person who contracts it, frightful as are its ravages upon his constitution, ending frequently in destruction and a loathsome grave, it becomes of stil! greater importance when it is transmilied to innocent offspring. Such being the case how necessary it becomes that every one having the least reason to fear that they bave contracted the disease, should attend toit at once by consulting some physician, whose respectability and education enables him to warrant a safe. speedy, and permanent cure. In accordance with this necessity, DR. YOUNG feels called upon to state that, by long study and extensive practice, he has become perfect master of all those diseases which come under the denomination of venereal. and having paid more attention to that one branch than any ether phyeician in the United States, he feels himself bettar . qualified to treat them. . I had lost about thirty pounds of flesh, and knew that he at least could not cure,me and asI was then going on, death must soon count me as one of its victims. This physician then fold me that case wasincurable; that I had better not take any more medicines. He said 1 was ina decline: which was fast tending to pulmonary consumption.
